5 Week Fused Glass Multi Ability Course Starts 23rd September 2025

During the course of the ten weeks beginner Students will be able to explore the basic principles of glass fusing and slumping. Several short projects will be undertaken. Novice students will be able to cover the basic principles of glass fusing, including producing samples exploring positive relief, negative relief, the use of inclusions in glass, full fusing and the use of stringers and frits. Additionally students can undertake a project of their own choosing including the use of slump moulds. You will be fully inducted with the health and safety aspects of using the tools and materials.

The programme for students with experience in glass fusing will be by negotiation. Students with experience in the basics will be encouraged to extend their knowledge of glass in more complex projects and encouraged to discover and experiment with multiple techniques.

Students will need to provide their own glass consumables and basic hand tools. The first lesson will outline exactly what you need to purchase and where from. Please bring am A3 size 3mm sheet of glass to learn how to cut glass.

Coffee tea biscuits are provided for post lesson chats. There is on site parking.
