Tuesday Fusing - Ongoing from March 6th 2026 3.00 - 5.30pm and 7.00 - 9.30pm
A mesmerising journey of fused glass techniques. Beginner or returning students all welcome, enjoy the benefits of creating in a supportive group environment.
During these drop in sessions beginner Students will be able to explore the basic principles of glass fusing and slumping. Several short projects will be undertaken. Novice students will be able to cover the basic principles of glass fusing, including producing samples exploring positive relief, negative relief, the use of inclusions in glass, full fusing and the use of stringers and frits. Additionally students can undertake a project of their own choosing including the use of slump moulds. You will be fully inducted with the health and safety aspects of using the tools and materials.
The programme for students with experience in glass fusing will be by negotiation. Students with experience in the basics will be encouraged to extend their knowledge of glass in more complex projects and encouraged to discover and experiment with multiple techniques.
Students will need to provide their own glass consumables and basic hand tools. The first lesson will outline exactly what you need to purchase and where from. Please bring am A3 size 3mm sheet of glass to learn how to cut glass.
These sessions are on a drop in basis but booking is recommended. If you would like to book a block of 5 or more lessons you will receive a 10% discount. There is on site parking.
