Eco Printing Taster Day

On this adventure into the world of Eco Printing you will learn how to make eco print steam bundles  and shown examples of images made from the local flora and fauna to inspire your creations. Materials will be supplied but you are welcome to bring your own flowers and leaves from garden plants you would like to experiment with. You can also harvest plants in the garden and surrounding area of the workshop too, so wellies might be advisable. The steam bundle technique can easily be continued at home. You will be guided through use of mordants and dips to enhance your images. You will be given instruction on both paper and textile substrates for printing. After a short lunch break you will be able to use the heat presses to make larger more detailed images, and reveal the seam bundles. You will be enthralled by the captivating results. 

Coffee tea biscuits are provided. Please bring a packed lunch/sandwiches for the short lunch break. There is on site parking, local train stations are either Meopham or Borough Green & Wrotham there is a limited bus service. We are happy to arrange a driver to collect you from the local stations by prior arrangement.
